About William Archibald Welden
In the 1930’s William Archibald Welden was Director of Design for the Revere Copper and Brass Company. Among his more famous designs were the Empire and Zephyr Cocktail Shaker sets. In 1801 patriot Paul Revere at age 65 decided to set up a copper rolling mill in Canton, Mass. Today the Revere Copper and Brass Co., headquartered in New York, still bears his name. One of the company’s best known products, Revereware, alludes to its origins.
