Antiquities Is Turning 10!

Antiquities is practically an antique! This month Antiquities is proud to celebrate our 10th anniversary with you, our valued reader (and hopefully shopper!) We can hardly believe that ten years have passed since we first opened our doors. But here we are, with stores across the country and antiques in the homes of some very stylish clients.

Our company began when we were creating the interior design for a client’s New York apartment. We decided that we should shake things up a bit, style wise, and furnished the apartment  with gorgeous Art Deco pieces. The client was so thrilled and we decided that we had a real eye, and passion for finding rare antiquities.

We went on to open up shops in Pompano Beach, Florida and in New York City. Our New York City store specializes in all things Art Deco. From lamps, to mirrors, to artwork, to tables, Antiquities either carries it or can find it at our New York location. The Pompano Beach location specializes in Baroque, Empire, and Neo-Renaissance antiques.

Over the years Antiquities has carried some incredibly rare and stunningly beautiful pieces. We love all antiques but we do play favorites with a few designers such as Gio Ponti, Rene Prou, Donald Deskey, Karl Springer, amd Lalique. Here are a few of those designer’s pieces:
